All Set Up

We are still learning were everything goes and what spots work for what. But this is a start to our PUPs set up! We have a little stool in front of our bunk to help climb up there then a pretty rug in front of the galley. We learned quickly that we will have to upgrade that rug with an anti-fatigue mat because standing in front of the galley prepping food hurts your back/feet after a while. We also bought this combo fan/light that plugs into the PUP lights and clips over our bunk.

The couch we just threw that blanket on for Toby. One day I'll get around to recovering the cushions. But I found those black boxes under the couch at the new 5 Below store. They have padded tops and work well as ottomans with extra storage! Plus they are small enough they can stay right where they are when its time to close things up. I also replaced the ugly "arm rest" pillow with a nicer one. You can see our temporary solution to blocking bugs from coming in above the door by shoving a towel in the open space…we will need to find a better solution for that some day. Under the couch we have board games, large cooking items like pots and extra paper towels/tissues.

This is the perfect little spot for our coolers. The one on the bottom has our main food in it and the top bag cooler is drinks only. The main cooler has a layer of Reflectix inside it and another piece laying on top of it to help with keeping everything cool. The potty box is a good spot for Kyle's Fizzi, and the bark box we use with Toby.

These plastic storage towers cost $10 at Target and are perfect for the trailer. 2 of them fit laid down on the floor when the trailer is all closed up. We used one for our clothes/toiletries and another for food. This is the bunk we don't use so Toby's blanket is on it as well as extra clothes and items like the broom and dustpan. On top of the storage tower fits our postcard book that has postcards in it from previous camping trips, a cute new clock and a cheap mirror from Walmart.

I love the dinette transformation. The cushions don't even bother me too much here. The table is so nice to sit at and we have an overhead light that clips on for brightness and one that hangs purely for decoration since its not too bright. A touch of yellow with our new pillows and some table decorations that we used to hold our napkins and little things. The storage under the benches holds all our bedding during travel and is home to snacks when we are all set up.

This little countertop was mainly where our food that didn't need to be cold was stored as well as plates/utensils. We had a small catchall near the door for keys, sunglasses, etc. as well.

We are really happy with our bed set up. It is super comfy and with the AC on low the are nice and comfortable sleeping at night. I also put some Reflectix in our windows to help keep things cool during the day as well. The extra insulation really helps.

This is the most importation station in the whole trailer. We use the galley all day every day. The kitchen sink stores our sponges and dish soap when not in use. Behind the sink we have a small trash can, perfect for tissues and paper towels. The bigger trash for food scraps and other items is outside. The paper towels fit behind the galley and we hang our hand towels on the galley's pull bar. We have a small plastic storage tower that holds various items like pens, paper, cards, batteries, kitchen timer, etc. On top of it is our oil diffuser that I ran most of the day to help keep bugs away. It seemed to work pretty well. We also had a bug repellent device called a Thermacell outside which also worked very well. The hot water kettle sits on the end of the countertop and can be plugged in below when needed. I use the spot in the middle of the countertop to prep meals on our plastic cutting mats that are stored under the sink. I also use it to dry dishes on the dish drying mat that is folded up and hanging behind the galley. The fridge works extremely well, we have a thermometer in there to make sure things stay cool. The two drawers next to the fridge hold household things like our first aid kit, lighter, ziplocs, foil, scissors, etc. The drawer above the fridge is a large deep drawer that holds cooking items like spatulas, knives, can/bottle openers, stirring spoons, etc.

It is a start. Over time we will adapt our system I'm sure!
