Bunkend Pole Clasp

Under the beds are these support poles that hold the bed up. They are supposed to lock back up against the wood before you push the bed back in. Well the original supports weren't working so well so we replaced them with these Grip Clips for about $6! They work great! Before the bed support poles would fall down, causing damage when you would push the beds in. Now they stay put and we don't have to worry!

Storage Box Wall and Floor Repair Project

Ok this is a big one. But we are so happy with the transformation! The original plan was to rip these doors out, take the shower out, then replace that wall with something more structurally sound than this flaky MDF stuff the trailer is made out of. Well as we started taking more and more parts in this area apart we came across some water damage issues and this projected slowly started to become a lot bigger than we thought. No problem though! Like we planned, to start we took these doors out, Kyle literally had to rip them out of the wall . The wall was so water damaged the screws were just spinning in their spots when he was trying to unscrew the hinges.  Next was the shower. That was quite the project , we saved the potty though (thats a post for another day). Ok so now we have a hole in the wall and a hole in the floor. Thankfully this wonderful man from "Tom's Tools" showed up just in time to help with the rest of this project...

Making a Comfy Bed!

Update Below: 05/05/2017 This is what is underneath the 3" of foam that is the trailer bed…ouch! The good thing is that the wood in both bunk ends are in great condition. Nice! The point of buying a PUP was so we didn't have to sleep on the hard ground anymore. But that also means we don't want to sleep on a piece of wood either. I remember my parents telling me that before kids, they would just take the second mattress in their trailer and put it on their bed for extra padding. That will work perfectly, until we invite someone else to come camping along with us, or kids happen (whichever comes first). So we bought some anti fatigue foam mats  and laid them out on the bed. We need one more square but so far they fit pretty nicely. They fit 3 across and 3 plus a little strip down. We just used the left over pieces for the extra space for now. We will end up cutting the edge squares so they fit perfectly in the bed frame. Toby is inspecting ...
