Coast to Coast - Part 2

We bought an RV! Welcome to our Coast to Coast Part 2 journey! And what a journey it has been so far. We sold the Coleman Pop Up Camper back in July, then sold the Toyota 4Runner a week later. In August, Kyle left for DC. We have been looking for an RV since we sold the PUP and thanks to the good ol pandemic, it has been quite a difficult task! It is not a normal year to say the least, and that shows in the RV world as well. So many people have bought RVs over the summer because they are self contained and campgrounds can be open where some hotels still may be closed. Hey now we had this idea first! Finding the actual RV was a chore, finding financing was even harder. A lot of lenders changed their RV loan rules back in March/April when everything shut down. For example the lender we wanted, USAA, lowered their max loan amount to $35,000. Finding something in that range was pretty difficult. But we managed (at the last minute possible) to find a lender an an RV that will get us to DC. It may not be the one we wanted and we would have preferred some things to be fixed prior to purchase but it was literally our last option and we were running out of time.

Welcome to the family the 2015 Itasca Spirit by Winnebago! She is a C class gas motorhome, 32’ long and 11’ tall! Also we can tow the Camry with it. It has a small couch, U shaped dinette, kitchen with a large countertop, oven, stove, microwave, refrigerator and freezer! The shower and toilet are separate from each other and theres a queen size bed in the back as well as a bunk over the cab. It has an on board generator that can run the AC unit if we need without electricity and large propane tank that can run the fridge/freezer without electricity as well. The entire living room and dinette slide out which gives us plenty of space to move around even with Toby. Even though we miss the PUP, this RV definitely is an upgrade. We are ready to fill her up and take her across the country!
