This is another simple upgrade. Our furnace vent is the home to wasps and other bugs. To help keep these pests out we bought a Bug Vent Screen to cover the furnace. There weren't any instructions and it took a little brainwork to figure out how to actually make this work. The screen comes with an "installation tool" which is basically a metal wand with a notch at the end.
The first thing you want to do is hook the springs to the actual screen itself. Next you will push the wand through the screen and try to "catch" the other end of the spring and guide it with the want into a hole of the vent. It is very hard to explain but pretty easy to do. Once the springs are hooked in the tension will hold the screen in place. Simple as that!
